  • Receipt Images: When you use the receipt scanning feature, we process images of your receipts to extract ingredient and purchase information. Receipt images are processed and are not stored permanently on our servers after processing is complete.
  • Dietary Preferences: Information about your dietary needs and preferences that you provide for personalized recipe recommendations.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used, pages viewed, time spent, and actions taken.
  • Crash and Performance Data: Diagnostic information to help us identify and fix bugs and improve the App's performance.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Sources

  • Social Login: If you choose to sign in using a third-party service (e.g., Apple Sign-In, Google), we receive basic profile information as permitted by your settings on that service.
  • Imported Recipes: When you use AI-powered recipe import from external sources (YouTube, blogs, or other websites), we access those sources to extract recipe data on your behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
  • Create and manage your user account.
  • Enable social features, including sharing food posts, following other users, and commenting.
  • Process receipt scans and extract ingredient data for your fridge inventory.
  • Provide personalized recipe recommendations based on your fridge contents and dietary preferences.
  • Import and process recipes from external sources using AI.

Receipt images are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after the ingredient data has been extracted.

7. Camera and Photo Library Access

The App requests access to your device's camera and photo library for the following purposes:

  • Scanning grocery receipts to add ingredients to your fridge inventory.
  • Taking and uploading food photos for community sharing.
  • Setting a profile photo.

Camera and photo library access is only used when you actively initiate these features. We do not access your camera or photos in the background.

8. AI-Powered Features

Freli uses artificial intelligence to provide certain features, including:

  • Receipt scanning and ingredient extraction.
  • Recipe import from external sources (URLs, text).
  • Personalized recipe generation based on available ingredients and dietary preferences.

Data processed by AI features is used solely to provide the requested functionality. We do not use your personal content to train general-purpose AI models.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
